Living the Czech life! 🇨🇿

After two and a half weeks in Czech Republic, it’s time to say “nashledanou” 👋🏼 for a little while!

We’ve shared some special memories together and with family and friends during our stay, including celebrating Pavel’s 30th, seeing the beautiful sights of Prague and Pavel’s hometown of Brno, horseriding through Moravian countryside on Pavel’s mum’s horse, visiting Pavel’s dad in the village of Blatnice, fun times in the sun with friends at Tyršak, and a b-boy battle of course!

We’ve indulged in all the food and drink Czech has to offer…never have I had more bread and beer in my life! Current weigh-in: Pavel +5kg, Jess +2kg. But hey, when in Czech…

Personally, it’s been invaluable for me to experience the Czech city and village life like a local, particularly to learn more about Pavel’s heritage.

Here’s a few photos of our first-round of Czech Republic…

Pavel’s 30th

Arriving in Pavel’s hometown in Czech Republic the day before his birthday, he was fortunate to spent his special day with his nearest and dearest, his Mum and older brother.

Inside the main theatre of Prague National Theatre…yes, that’s 24-carat gold everywhere!

Good times with some amazing friends…dinner hang out at Rakovník, nearby where we camped at Tyršak.

The food…meat, bread and beer overload!

Roast duck with potato dumplings and bread dumplings, sprinkled with bacon pieces.

Ribs, Czech-style, with a side of bread, of course!

“Ruská Zmrzlina” (Russian Icecream) – could be easily mistaken for a slab of butter at the supermarket, but is actually a delicious old-school Czech icecream.

Two-litre bottles of beer are sold everywhere! This one was on special for the equivalent of about $1.70 AUD.
